In an O.R., you must constantly be cleaning. Castor wheels help you keep the floor clean.

In an O.R, space is at a premium. If you must have a horizontal surface it must be flat and cleanable, and if it can double as a shelf . . . all the better.

In an O.R., you would not therefore specify a UPS system designed for an office because it would in all probability have:

a plastic case (hard to clean without staining)
a textured surface (holds dirt)
short legs/feet (hard to move, collects dust beneath)
louvered air vents (hard-to-clean, may allow entry of liquids -
especially spray cleaners)
high-velocity cooling fan (blows dust around)
separate expansion battery pack (adds to difficulty moving)
