AMBULATORY SURGERY SUITE ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
Any medical procedure room will be enhanced with the addition of an emergency power supply. At MEDI+Products, our mission is to assist in the product selection process. What tasks and procedures should not be interrupted?
Any time special patient preparations are made - whether it be for an endoscopic exam or anesthetic is administered - it is certainly in the patient's best interest to have an emergency power supply available. And once an incision is made . . . it is a must.
In the case of minor surgery, accrediting agencies look for adequate lighting - both general and surgical, patient vital-signs monitoring, the ability to aspirate fluids, and cauterizing equipment. In addition, the physician may desire or find it a necessity to support a laser, X-ray, liposuction pump, sonography equipment, endoscopic video-viewing and/or video-processing equipment. All this is actually very straightforward and very simple to support with battery-powered emergency power generation equipment. In fact, it is often so simple that there is really no need to contact an electrician.
