HOW MUCH BACKUP RUNTIME IS NECESSARY?

A popular runtime our customers often choose is either a 12- or 24-hour option; this provides them peace of mind through night or day with severe weather. This also allows them enough time to call the utility company, get an estimated outage time, and plan to move the vaccine inventory to another location if the outage is expected to extend beyond the backup coverage.

HOW LONG DOES IT RUN?

According to aap.org biologic-grade full sized refrigerators are considered the most secure option for vaccine storage. HOW OUR SYSTEM WORKS

These battery backup systems are line interactive, meaning that while the utility company's power is on, the system stays in standby mode. When the system is in standby mode, the utility power keeps the batteries charged and transfers power to the supporting appliance. As soon as the battery backup system senses a loss of utility power, it transfers to the system's batteries. Once utility power is restored, the system automatically recharges the batteries and feeds them back to the unit it supports.

STANDBY MODE

When the unit is in standby mode, the utility power is fed to the power system. The power system simultaneously charges its batteries and passes the utility power over to the appliance.

POWER OUTAGE MODE

When the utility power goes out, the power systems line interactive switch will activate to draw the energy from the batteries and will continue powering the appliance automatically.

RECHARGE MODE

When the utility comes back on, the battery-powered generator will automatically switch back to standby mode, and return to powering the refrigerator with utility power, while simultaneously recharging the batteries.
