Web-Based Power and Temperature Monitoring for Critical Refrigeration
The POAS-E provides remote monitoring for medical refrigerators, laboratory freezers, and other temperature-controlled equipment through an existing Ethernet network connection.
Authorized users can review current conditions, manage alarm settings, access recorded data, and acknowledge alarms through a web-based portal. Complimentary email notifications can be sent to an unlimited number of contacts. Text-message and telephone-call alerts are also available with a subscription.
| Connection Type | Ethernet |
| Included Notifications | |
| Optional Notifications | Text messages and telephone calls |
| Contacts | Unlimited |
| Alarm Acknowledgment | Locally or through the web portal |
| Sensor Support | Up to 10 additional sensors |
| Data Logging | Available through the web portal |
The POAS-E requires access to a compatible Ethernet network. Monitoring requirements, sensor quantities, temperature ranges, and optional notification services should be evaluated when configuring the system.
Temperature-sensitive inventory can be compromised by more than a complete power outage. Equipment failure, temperature drift, an open door, or an environmental problem may also place stored products at risk.
The POAS-E provides greater visibility into these conditions by combining built-in power-failure monitoring with support for multiple external sensors and online data logging.
Through the web-based monitoring portal, authorized personnel can:
Complimentary email alerts are included with the POAS-E and can be sent to an unlimited number of designated contacts.
Facilities that require additional notification methods can add a subscription for text-message and automated telephone-call alerts. Multiple notification channels can help facilities reach personnel according to their staffing structure and emergency response procedures.
Alarms can be acknowledged locally at the monitoring device or remotely through the web portal.
Optional temperature sensors can be connected to monitor conditions inside refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, and other temperature-controlled environments.
Users can establish acceptable high and low temperature limits. When a monitored temperature rises above or falls below the programmed range, the POAS-E initiates an alert using the configured notification methods.
Depending on the probe selected, the system can support applications ranging from standard pharmaceutical refrigerators to ultra-low-temperature freezers.
Recorded sensor readings are stored through the online platform, giving authorized users access to historical information that may support internal reviews, incident investigations, and temperature-management procedures.
The POAS-E supports up to 10 additional sensors, allowing a facility to monitor several pieces of equipment or different environmental conditions through one monitoring device.
Depending on the accessories selected, the system may be configured to monitor:
This flexibility makes the POAS-E suitable for facilities that require more than a single power-outage notification.
The POAS-E is designed for organizations with a reliable Ethernet network that want centralized monitoring, remote access, and recorded sensor data.
Potential applications include:
A battery backup system and the POAS-E perform different but complementary functions.
During an outage, the battery backup supplies temporary emergency power to help keep the connected refrigerator or freezer operating. The POAS-E alerts designated personnel that utility power has failed and monitors conditions that may change during the event.
Used together, these systems provide emergency power, remote notification, and greater visibility into the condition of protected refrigeration equipment.
The appropriate configuration depends on the number of refrigerators, freezers, sensors, locations, and alert recipients the organization needs to manage.
Contact Medi-Products to configure a POAS-E system based on your equipment, network availability, monitoring requirements, temperature ranges, and preferred notification methods.

Medi Products was great to work with for my emergency back up power for my ambulatory surgery facility. They were able to take my required power information, calculate my needs, and develop a custom system to manage all my emergency power. More importantly, we had some challenges with my construction and implementation on site. They were very responsive to get these matters addressed, and sent out a representative to ensure my device was fully functional on site. Overall, despite the challenges, I am very pleased with their customer service, commitment to me and my office, and the final product is excellent and works as described. I highly recommend them.
Community Health Center in Arizona. We were sooo lucky to have it last until the power was restored, about 30 minutes after our call. That is proof that the product is top notch and saved us from a ton of extra work and extended power beyond what was guaranteed. Thank you for assisting me today during my moments of desperation! My Project Coordinator – J. Beltran and I will certainly be in touch once we have more information on our scope of project for expanding back-up systems. Thank you,
Now that we have a successful install at our admin suite, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your expertise and efforts to help us pull this project together. You were a skillful partner working through the many fine details and different options. As a customer/client, I felt informed and well taken care. I appreciated your approach and responsiveness throughout. Ultimately, the product works and that, in its self, makes my life significantly better/easier. I hope your company realizes your value and strengths because it definitely made the difference in our success! It would be great of you to forward this one to your partners and leadership as I am sure there is more behind the scenes that I’m not aware of. If ever needed, I’d be happy to provide a reference for MediProducts as a highly satisfied customer. Take care,
We are so happy we found MediProducts for our lab. They helped us find the correct system for our lab and made sure it would run what we needed. The unit has a small footprint and was extremely easy to get set up and running. Thank you!
Found the company online and proceeded to talk with them. I found the sales people very knowledgeable and helpful. Pricing was average but service great, ordered a back up system and received it in quick time.
Yes we have received it and are all set up. So far it has been great! We have lost power twice for brief periods since installation and it has been great. I am almost afraid to say anything and jinx myself. At this time I don't believe we are interested in any other products. Our set up probably isn't website picture quality but here it is. Thanks
Community Health Clinic in WA. You had requested some pictures after installation at our site which I have attached here. Thank you for all of your help! They are working great!
We have similar units already at both of our clinics. Easy email communication on details of the product and was able to quickly place orders for two units. Have not had an opportunity to utilize them yet. Really appreciated the discount as a community health clinic. White glove delivery was very helpful. Only recommendation I would give is that it would have been even more efficient if delivery and installation could at the same time.
Add temperature monitoring for medical refrigerators, laboratory freezers, vaccine storage units, and ultra-low-temperature freezers.
Probe selection should be based on the equipment and required operating-temperature range.
The POAS-E can support compatible sensors for:
Up to 10 additional sensors can be connected, depending on the required system configuration.
