How to Assemble and Mount a Standalone Battery Backup System

What Tools Are Needed to Assemble and Install a Backup Power System?

Every Medi-Products backup generator comes with all the necessary hardware for assembly and mounting, including:

  • Self-Drilling Screws
  • Drywall Anchors
  • Battery Cables
  • Other Miscellaneous Hardware

To mount the system, you'll need to use either the studs in your wall or the drywall itself.

You will need to supply the following tools for assembly and mounting:

  • A Phillips-Head Screwdriver (for attaching the battery covers and cabinet(s))
  • A Stud Finder (if you choose to mount it to the studs)
  • A Drill Set

Once the system is mounted, its weight is supported by the floor and the system's feet, with the wall primarily providing stabilization and bearing very little of the weight.

How to Install and Assemble a Standalone System

Before Installing Your Battery Backup System

Remember these key points for every standalone system:

  • It comes with a 10-foot power cord.
  • The input power is on the left side.
  • Output power outlets are on both sides.
  • It can be mounted and oriented in any direction because the batteries are leak-proof.

If needed, we can customize any of these features during production to fit your specific needs.

Steps to Install a Standalone System:

  1. Unpack the shipment.
  2. Remove the battery covers.
  3. Attach the feet and any extra battery cabinets.
  4. Mount the system.
  5. Install the batteries.
  6. Install the battery cables.
  7. Reattach the battery covers.
  8. Perform a quick test to make sure everything works.

After these steps, your system will be ready to provide backup power for your facility.
